Deadline reports Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan – fresh off of doing script work on Pacific Rim and The Collection – have been hired to rewrite Waterproof for Legendary Pictures. The film concerns “a teen boy [who] accidently unleashes monsters on his small town after finding an order form in an old comic book.”
Legendary is also behind Pacific Rim – that latest film from Guillermo del Toro – so the company clearly loves this duo.
Melton and Dunstant also penned the Feast trilogy and a good chunk of the Saw franchise.
