Exclusive: Vincenzo Natali Talks Paris, I’ll Kill You

What story will he tell?

Pre-American Film Market, we received word of a horrific companion piece to the anthology Paris, I Love You (Paris, je t’aime) that is in the works called Paris, I’ll Kill You.

Similar to PILY, the film calls upon a variety of filmmakers – in this case Joe Dante, Xavier Gens, Joern Heitmann, Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, Ryuhei Kitamura, Paco Plaza and Christopher Smith – to tell their own stories of Paris. Except, this time, it’s going to get a bit more macabre.

Shock Till You Drop caught up to one of the contributors, Vincenzo Natali, who also directed an entry in PILY.

“It’s going to be lots of fun,” Natali says. “It is what it sounds like, a horror film with a similar template to Paris, je t’aime, meaning all of the segments take place in Paris. They’ll be a bit longer, ten minutes as opposed to five. I’ve written my script already and I’m just waiting for them to give it the green light.”

Natali won’t dish a ton of details about his story, but he revealed to us that it “takes place in the world of high fashion. It’s about the secret life of French models.”

A job filled with gorgeous women? Sounds like a difficult job.

Paris, I’ll Kill You begins production next spring.
