Yuletide Fear at the Grindhouse

A deadly Christmas double-feature

In what has become a Los Angeles tradition, Grindhouse Film Festival organizers Brian Quinn and Eric Caidin are holding a Christmas-themed event to warm up your yule log (um, forget those words were ever typed).

On Tuesday, December 18th, Bob Clark’s seminal slasher, Black Christmas, and Charles E. Sellier’s utterly deranged and controversial Silent Night, Deadly Night (“Naughty!”) are returning to the New Beverly Cinema (7165 Beverly Boulevard) for a special double-feature.

The event starts at 7:30pm, and admission for the double feature (plus a reel of rare exploitation trailers and a free raffle) is only $8.00.

The monthly Grindhouse Film Festival events feature the screening of rare 35mm prints of cult and exploitation films from the 1960’s through the 1980’s, many of which have not been publicly shown since the drive-in’s and inner city grindhouse theaters faded away twenty years ago.
