Confirmed: Wallace Directing Arcanum

Casting to begin soon

Thanks to ComingSoon.net, we sorta got the jump on this news last month, but the Hollywood trades were kind enough to confirm the news today…

Writer-turned-director Randall Wallace (The Man in the Iron Mask) has stepped on board to helm The Arcanum, a Gold Circle production.

Set in 1919, and based on the Thomas Wheeler novel, this story finds Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Houdini, voodoo priestess Marie Laveau and H.P. Lovecraft (who make up the titular secret society) working together in New York City to save lost angels and the world from a serial killer and some demons.

Wheeler adapted his own source material and is doing a production polish on a script before going out to cast.

Gold Circle is in postproduction on Joel Schumacher’s horror thriller Town Creek, which Lionsgate will distribute, and is prepping the romantic comedy Chilled in Miami, starring Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr.
