More Batman v Superman Photos Debut, Film Tracking for a $140 Million Debut

More Batman v Superman photos released online

Following the cover reveal this morning, EW has debuted even more Batman v Superman photos which you can check out in the gallery below. In addition, the outlet offered a new quote from star Ben Affleck about how Batman feels when he finds out Superman isn’t the only superpowered person in the world and that The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg are running around too.

“The idea that there are more, that’s hopeful and also terrifying to him,” Affleck says. “Because then they could make humans even more powerless — or they could serve on our side.”

Finally, tracking for Batman v Superman‘s opening box office has made its way online, with Deadline reporting the film is tracking for a $120 to $140 million debut domestically and an opening worldwide total between $300 and $340 million. Should the film collect that much in its worldwide total its opening weekend, it would be the fifth-largest superhero debut behind The Avengers ($392.5M), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($392.5M), Spider-Man 3 ($381.7M) and Iron Man 3 ($372.5M). Three weeks remain until the film’s opening, so expect those numbers to fluctuate as the film’s marketing continues to ramp up.

Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, joined by Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open worldwide on March 25, 2016.
