Can You Spot the Difference Between Wonder Woman’s Costume Compared to Batman & Superman?

People didn’t necessarily agree with me when I said I thought Wonder Woman’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looked ridiculous. I know comic book fans feel the films should be loyal to their origins, but can you honestly look at the cover of Entertainment Weekly below and tell me you don’t see a double standard in the way the characters are presented?

At the very least, Scarlett Johanson‘s Black Widow in The Avengers is given a full-body, skin tight suit, similar to what Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) are wearing here so why wouldn’t it make sense for Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) sport a similarly protective outfit?

If you believe the films should remain loyal to the comics… fine. I could argue against that merely saying we are living in a different era from that which the character was created, but instead I will simply ask you consider the alternative. Consider a scenario where Wonder Woman is given more than just underwear to fight crime and would we really be changing much of anything? People are asking for some measure of reality in these films, wouldn’t reality in that sense actually benefit the film?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
