Warner Bros. has debuted the first trailer for their once mysterious found footage film Project X, which seems to feature a lot of licking and a fair amount of mayhem as a group of high school students set out to throw a name-making house party that gets completely out of control. From what I can tell, the trailer appears to try to be selling some sort of Superbad meets Super 8 shot in first person and I can’t necessarily say I’m buying it.
The film was directed by first-timer Nima Nourizadeh with Todd Phillips (The Hangover) producing and a fleet of no names starring including Miles Teller, Alexis Knapp, Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Nichole O’Connor, Oliver Cooper and Dax Flame.
I gave the trailer a watch and there’s really nothing to be spoiled that isn’t described in the R-rating reason which goes like this: “For crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem – all involving teens.”
So there you have it and that all arrives on March 2, 2012.
