Heat Vision is reporting Denis Leary has joined the cast of director Marc Webb’s Untitled Spider-Man Reboot and will play police captain George Stacy, the father of Emma Stone’s character. Stone is playing Gwen Stacy, the first love of Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).
Leary joins Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone along with fellow cast members Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Sally Field. The film is set to go into production this December for a July 3, 2012 release date.
