There seems to be a lot of blogger hype and love for the upcoming comedy Hot Tub Time Machine, which centers on a group of friends who go back to the ski lodge where they partied as teens and end up transported to 1987 through their hot tub. The title and the absurd nature of the plot is definitely a highlight and considering the film isn’t shying away from that absurdity also plays a part in getting people excited.
Today a second Red Band (Not Safe For Work) trailer arrives and while I haven’t watched it yet I did read Meredith Woerner’s quote over at io9 saying the trailer is “stuffed with filth, 1980s ski sluts, grown men crying, and sex. Also, it finally answers the burning question: How can 50-year-old John Cusack score with 18-year-old ladies?” Sound like something that’s up your alley?
The film stars John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Crispin Glover, Sebastian Stan, Lizzy Caplan, Craig Robinson, Chevy Chase and Charlie McDermott and hits theaters on March 19.
