Amanda Righetti, who turns 25-years-old tomorrow and is probably best known as Hailey Nichol from “The O.C.”, is set to play the female lead in the upcoming Friday the 13th reboot.
Marcus Nispel is direting the feature, which begins filming April 21 in Austin, Texas for a February 13, 2009 release.
The picture is expected to focus more on the Jason character, which only saw limited screen time in the original feature.
Righetti was most recently seen in the direct-to-video release Return to House on Haunted Hill.
