Jason Lee Falls in a ‘Krater’

It is so cool to see the success of Jason Lee considering I have been laughing at this guy since his performance as Brodie Bruce in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats. Granted, I am not a huge fan of his hit sitcom “My Name is Earl,” but I will give anything this guy is in a chance.

Coming up for Lee is a comedy he will star in and produce for Warner Bros. called Krater. The pic is set in the late 1970s and early ’80s, the story follows the leader (Lee) of a rock band known as Krater who struggles with massive success after hiring a new lead singer with hidden Broadway ambitions. The story is based on an idea that Lee and co-producer Scott M. Martin brought to J.D. Ryznar who will pen the screenplay.

Lee will next be featured as the voice of the title character in Underdog, a live-action remake of the animated classic.
