90210 Spin-Off Finds Its First Resident

The CW’s “Beverly Hills, 90210” spin-off has found its first resident, reports Variety.

Dustin Milligan, who appeared last summer in the short-lived CW drama “Runaway,” has been cast in the supporting role of Ethan. The character is a likable jock who falls out of favor with the in crowd and starts hanging out with the “90210” crew.

Rob Thomas (“Veronica Mars”) is executive producing the “90210” revival, which hasn’t yet been given an official greenlight.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Reaser (“Grey’s Anatomy”) is set to play the leading role of Annabel on 20th Century Fox TV’s “Mythological X.” The pilot revolves around a woman who discovers via a psychic that she has already dated and dumped the man she was supposed to marry.

Also in casting news Monday, Australian actress Samantha Noble booked one of the leads in the CBS show “Harper’s Island,” less than 24 hours after flying in from Oz. She’ll play Trish Wellington on the murder mystery.

Also newly cast on the project, directed and exeuctive produced by Jon Turteltaub: Ryan Merriman (“Smallville”) and Elaine Cassidy (“The Lost World”).
