Prison Break Returning for a Fourth Season

Fox has greenlit a fourth season for “Prison Break,” while the network confirmed that “The Return of Jezebel James” wouldn’t be back.

Fox has ordered 22 more “Prison Break” episodes from 20th Century Fox TV. The show had its third season cut short by the writers strike. Fox aired 13 episode this season, averaging 8.2 million viewers and a 3.5 rating/9 share among adults 18-49.

The third season of “Prison Break” revolved around the show’s main characters breaking out of a Panama prison. The show’s executive producers had crafted a midyear cliffhanger at the end of the show’s 13th episode; that ended up serving as a de facto season finale.

“Jezebel James” starred Parker Posey as a high-maintenance book editor who asks her younger sister (Lauren Ambrose) to carry her baby. Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino executive produced the show for Regency TV.
