Niznik Gets Wild ; Life for Sexton

“Everwood” alumna Stephanie Niznik has been tapped to star on The CW’s upcoming drama series “Life Is Wild,” says The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Brent Sexton (“Deadwood”) has been added to the cast of NBC’s upcoming drama “Life” as a regular.

“Wild,” from CBS Paramount Network TV, Company Pictures and WBTV, centers on a New York veterinarian (D.W. Moffett) and his second wife (Niznik) — a beautiful and rich corporate lawyer — who move to a South African game preserve with their two sets of children.

The roles of both parents were recast. Niznik replaces Judith Hoag, who played the role in the pilot; Moffett recently took over from Brett Cullen.

“Life,” from Universal Media Studios, centers on an ex-cop (Damian Lewis) who rejoins the force after being wrongfully imprisoned for years.

Sexton plays the cop’s former partner Bobby Starks, a role he originated in the pilot as a guest star.
