Supergirl Digital, 4K UHD, & Blu-ray Release Dates Announced for Milly Alcock DCU Movie

DC and Warner Bros. have announced the Digital release date for Supergirl, and it’s coming very soon after its short theatrical run. The film was released in late June and unfortunately didn’t do well at the box office. Following Superman’s success, Supergirl floundered with critics and audiences.

When are the new release dates for Supergirl?

Warner Bros. has announced that Supergirl is coming to Digital on July 28, 2026. The film will be available to purchase online just over a month after it was released in theaters.

Supergirl will be available on participating retailers including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango, and more. Those wanting to add it to their physical media collection will have to wait a little longer.

Supergirl will be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD from September 8, 2026. Those picking up the film on all platforms, except DVD, will get access to several additional behind-the-scenes materials, totaling over 90 minutes.

The Supergirl Digital and physical editions will contain the following:

  • The Making of Supergirl – A documentary capturing “key moments of production.”
  • Flying Off the Page – Following Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow author Tom King, screenwriter Ana Nogueira, and other filmmakers.
  • Space is a Bad Neighborhood, Babe – Explore with Production Designer Neil Lamont, as he takes us through the many worlds that Kara Zor-El steps into on her journey to hunt down Krem of the Yellow Hills.
  • A Practical Legacy – Legacy Effects and Peter Swords King explain the creative process behind this diverse group of creatures.
  • Showdown at Evely Square – From stunt training to crashing tanks to classic superhero flying moments, this breaks down the making of an incredible action scene.
  • The DC Dream: Lobo – Behind-the-scenes featurette with Jason Momoa taking viewers on his journey of becoming Lobo.
  • Mixtape for a Hero –  Director Craig Gillespie and Composer Claudia Sarne discuss the film’s score.
  • You Are Here: A Supergirl Map of the Galaxy – Eve Ridley narrates over all the locations visited in the film.
  • Girl’s Best Friend – Featurette on Krypto and Kara’s relationship.
  • Krypto Saves the Day: Coastal Catastrophe – An animated short that tells the story of a fun day at the beach that goes sideways when some sneaky foes get between Krypto and his hot dog.
  • Deleted Scenes

For reference, last year’s Superman was also released on Digital a little over a month after its release. However, the film was a box office success, grossing $618 million worldwide.

At the time of writing, Supergirl has grossed over $121 million worldwide and is forecasted to generate a loss of $100 million. It currently has an aggregate score of 53% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 362 reviews. Milly Alcock’s Supergirl will return in Man of Tomorrow. Despite the film’s box office woes, DC Studios is reportedly not worried about its next film, Clayface.

Supergirl is currently playing in theaters.
