Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s $50 Release Just Got a Stunning 1st Look

A new Spider-Man: Brand New Day merchandise item just got its first look. Notably, it will ship worldwide shortly after the film’s premiere next month.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s art book gets cover and release date

The cover art for Spider-Man 4’s new art book, Spider-Man: Brand New Day – The Art of the Movie, was just unveiled. It shows the webslinger swinging through New York City in his new suit for the film. A new featurette recently confirmed that the costume took inspiration from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spidersuits.

Retailing for $50, the book, written by Jess Harrold, consists of 208 pages. It releases worldwide on August 4 (via Penguin Random House). Fans can pre-order it from sites like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, Bookshop.org, Hudson Booksellers, Powell’s, Target, and Walmart.

It’s unclear who illustrated the cover art. However, it’s reportedly similar to artwork from Ryan Meinerding, Head of Visual Development over at Marvel Studios.

“Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game, keeping New York City safe,” the book’s description reads. “Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before.”

It continues, “In order to take on what’s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past! As Spider-Man: Brand New Day wows moviegoers the world over, discover the behind-the-scenes magic of the film’s visual development—from early concept sketches to final character designs. Explore environments, costumes, and exclusive insights from the next chapter for Marvel’s neighborhood hero!”

Meanwhile, the movie swings into theaters in the United States on July 31. However, it will open a day or two earlier in some international territories such as the United Kingdom. Destin Daniel Cretton directed from Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes’ screenplay.
