Zendaya and Holland attended the first official Spider-Man: Brand New Day photocall in Madrid, Spain. The event also marked their first red-carpet appearance since recently confirming that they had tied the knot. She wore a Christian Cowan dress featuring a fringed slit, while her beau opted for a black-and-red Jacquemus ensemble (via People).
Zendaya’s outfit, in particular, drew comparisons to the symbiote, with many fans believing it teased a potential story twist. Even Holland’s outfit sparked similar reactions, as his red shirt, layered with a black suit, led some fans to speculate that Spider-Man’s traditional costume could get a touch of Venom in the upcoming movie.
The couple repeated a similar color combination at the Berlin fan event. There, Zendaya wore a black crop vest top paired with a long-tailed skirt, while Holland donned a black suit over a red shirt.
The Rome outfits also had fans talking, as the 29-year-old actress added web-head-inspired elements and a similar color palette into her looks. One look featured a long beige dress covered with web-like designs.
In another, she sported a casual skirt-and-top combination, but what made it stand out was its color contrast. The dark red and blue hues closely resembled Spider-Man’s costume palette.
