Bradley Cooper’s Non-Marvel Superhero Movie Is Reigning Over Streaming

A major superhero blockbuster is finding new life on streaming after its theatrical run. Bradley Cooper’s non-Marvel superhero movie has climbed to the top spot on Prime Video‘s streaming charts.

The renewed interest comes months after the film became one of the biggest box-office stories of the year. Its streaming success suggests audiences are still eager to revisit the latest take on DC’s most iconic hero.

Superman is dominating on Prime Video

According to FlixPatrol, Superman currently sits at No. 1 on Prime Video’s movie rankings. It is leading a chart that includes titles such as Your Fault: London, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Released in 2025, Superman launched the new era of DC Studios under writer-director James Gunn. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The cast also features Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Anthony Carrigan and Bradley Cooper, who appears as Jor-El, Superman’s Kryptonian father.

Rather than retelling Superman’s origin story, the movie follows Clark as he balances his human upbringing with his Kryptonian heritage. At the same time, he’s forced to take on Lex Luthor, who is determined to tear down not only Superman himself but also everything he stands for.

The film was produced by DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Reports have placed the production budget at roughly $225 million before marketing costs.

The movie opened strongly worldwide and became one of DC’s biggest recent theatrical successes. As for Bradley Cooper, his role is relatively brief. The Oscar-nominated actor is best known for films such as A Star Is Born, American Sniper, and Silver Linings Playbook.

The movie has also been well received by audiences and critics. At the time of writing, it holds an 83% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and an IMDb rating of 7/10.
