ComingSoon is excited to debut an exclusive And Her Body Was Never Found teaser trailer. The unique found-footage horror movie follows a couple’s relationship spiraling during a trip to the woods.
And Her Body Was Never Found is directed by Polaris Banks, from a script written by Banks and Mor Cohen. The real-life married couple also stars in the movie, alongside Grae Drake. The movie is currently set to have its international premiere at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea, following its world premiere at SXSW.
“And Her Body Was Never Found follows a couple who head deep into the wilderness to make a movie together about their troubled relationship, camping alone with limited gear and a script drawn from past marital conflicts,” says the official synopsis. “As the shoot wears on, old resentments resurface, and ‘material’ starts bleeding into real life. What begins as an attempt to turn arguments into art shifts into something darker, with each of them testing how far they can push the other when there’s no crew, no cell service, and no easy way out. The project becomes a pressure cooker of isolation, control, and performance, blurring the line between staged scenes and real intent, until the question isn’t whether they can finish the film, but whether they’ll both make it out alive.”

What happens in the And Her Body Was Never Found teaser trailer?
The trailer for the upcoming movie doesn’t show off much, but it sets the tone immediately. Over a series of quotes of reactions from the movie, the voice of a man calling out to his wife can be heard. He asks where she’s gone, tells her not to make a big deal out of whatever has happened, and says he just wants to talk. We then see a POV of the woman, filming from the phone’s front-facing camera, while a man runs up behind her with a rock in his hand.
“This movie is something I thought I would never make. I don’t like talky movies. I don’t like meta movies. I don’t like found footage. I don’t even like personal movies. I got into this business to make Jurassic Park. But as I approached 40, still no feature directing credits to my name, I felt my filmmaker biological clock ticking hard. It was time to break all my own rules. I needed to come up with something I could shoot tomorrow,” said Banks of the project.
And Her Body Was Never Found was produced by Polaris Banks, Cohen, and Hilarion Banks, while Polaris Banks also served as the film’s director of photography and editor. Its music was composed by Nathan Schram. Executive producers include Tristan Barr, Josh Doke, David Gim, and Jonathan Barkan.
