Taylor Swift shares BTS clip of the day she recorded Toy Story 5 song

Taylor Swift took fans behind the scenes this week on Instagram. The Grammy-winning singer shared studio footage from the day she recorded her new song, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” for Toy Story 5. In the clip, Swift described her day as “hectic” and “fun.” Earlier that morning, she had watched Toy Story 5, and it sparked a wave of inspiration.

She said, “Been kind of a hectic day. At 11 AM, went to go see Toy Story 5. Got so inspired, got the songwriter zoomis, went home, wrote the end credit song for Toy Story 5. We have now produced it, and I’m doing vocals. It’s 6:57 p.m. In 2 hours, Bob Iger and Tom from Pixar are coming to hear it. We have not recorded it yet. And I think this is one of the most fun days of my life.”

The post also included her personal photos, including a childhood picture dressed as a cowgirl. Her brother Austin also appeared in the throwback image. Other photos featured director Andrew Stanton and co-writer Kenna Harris.

Swift released “I Knew It, I Knew You” earlier this month. She explained that writing the song felt both new and familiar. “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once,” she wrote on social media.

Last week, Swift attended the Los Angeles premiere of the latest Toy Story movie. She performed her song live and also joined Randy Newman for a duet of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” During the premiere, she also praised the film, calling it “insanely beautiful” and a “masterpiece.”

Toy Story 5 is now playing in theaters, while Swift’s new song is already available for fans to hear.
