Jason Momoa made a memorable appearance at the premiere of Supergirl, arriving in a look that echoed his upcoming portrayal of Lobo. The actor is set to play the iconic DC character after previously portraying Aquaman in the DCEU.

Veteran actor Jason Momoa arrived at the Supergirl premiere on a motorcycle, embracing a look inspired by his upcoming role as Lobo. He wore a black tank top for the event, drawing attention from fans.

Many fans reacted to photos and videos of Momoa from the premiere, with several comparing his appearance to Lobo. In a video on X, where Momoa can be seen riding a bike through the streets with a whole gang following his lead, a fan wrote, “He’s basically a sane human version of Lobo in real life.” Another fan added, “Can’t wait.”

After his role as Aquaman concluded in the DCEU, Momoa was cast as the rebellious interstellar mercenary Lobo in the new DC Universe. This marks his first appearance as the character. While this marks Lobo’s debut in the DCU, the character is not expected to serve as the film’s primary antagonist. Instead, that role is expected to be filled by Krem of the Yellow Hills. The character is portrayed by Matthias Schoenaerts.

As a result, Lobo could return in future DC Universe projects. He could potentially cross paths with characters such as Superman and Batman.

Supergirl follows Kara Zor-El on a cosmic adventure across the universe. The story is based on the acclaimed comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King. Director Craig Gillespie helms the film, which serves as a sequel to James Gunn’s Superman.

Supergirl stars Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, Jason Momoa, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and David Corenswet, among others.

The film premieres in theaters on June 22, 2026.
