Emma Myers doesn’t want to be shipped with her Wednesday co-star Jenna Ortega. The actors play roommates and best friends on the Netflix show. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from wanting to see the actors take their friendship further.
What did Emma Myers say about not wanting to be “shipped” with Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega?
In a new interview, Myers opened up about why she doesn’t want to be “shipped” with Jenna Ortega, calling shipping celebrities together can be “dangerous”.
Speaking to Great Company with Jamie Laing, Myers said, “I just think that shipping real people is so dangerous. You get into this gray area where, first of all, you’re making people uncomfortable. They feel like they can’t interact anymore because of the way that people react. Jenna and I don’t really care that much — we’re like, whatever, we interact the way we want to interact…I’m less worried about people shipping us and more of the fact that they harass other people who get close to one another because they want us to be together. If anybody else gets close, that’s interfering with their ship.”
Myers also said that she doesn’t mind fans shipping characters together. She also revealed she has stepped back from social media, saying she has stopped reading comments.

Myers will reprise the role of Enid Sinclair in Wednesday Season 3, which is currently in production. The second season ended with the whereabouts of Sinclair a mystery, following her transformation into an alpha werewolf.
The actress is currently working on A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, which will end following its upcoming third season. Besides these, Myers also appeared in A Minecraft Movie, which grossed over $960 million worldwide.
Both seasons of Wednesday are available to stream on Netflix.
