A famous star from Disney’s Moana movies has joined DC’s popular show as an iconic Green Lantern. She will play a crucial role in the My Adventures With Superman series that recently returned with a third season.
Who has been cast as a new Green Lantern?
Auliʻi Cravalho, who voiced the character of Moana in Disney’s successful animated movie franchise, will play Green Lantern Jessica Cruz in My Adventures with Superman, reports Entertainment Weekly. The Adult Swim animated TV show arrived with Season 3 on June 13, 2026.
After featuring in Season 3 of My Adventures with Superman, Cravalho will return as Jessica in her own spin-off show, My Adventures with Green Lantern.
In DC Comics, Jessica Cruz is a notable character, to say the least. She became one of the most prominent Earth-born female members of the Green Lantern Corps. In her debut appearance, however, she will be just a high school teen in My Adventures with Superman.
“We’d already planned for the second episode to showcase how Supergirl [Kiana Madeira], in particular, was changing their world. We wanted to look at how different people had very different reactions to the same Kryptonian,” said showrunner Jake Wyatt on adding new characters such as Cruz in the third season.
He added, “So when word came down from the brass that Green Lantern was greenlit, we wanted our pre-Lantern Jessica Cruz to give us the girl-on-the-street view of Supergirl.”
Speaking of Jessica Cruz, actress Auliʻi Cravalho is also known for other acclaimed projects in her career. She played Janis ‘Imi’ike in 2024’s Mean Girls movie musical. She’s made her mark in voice acting with standout roles in The Mighty Nein, Zootopia 2, and Krapopolis. Interestingly, she’s also executive producing Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Moana.
As for her debut in My Adventures with Superman, Cravalho will appear as Jessica Cruz in the second episode, titled Mobile Suit Toyman. It’s set to premiere on June 20, 2026, on Adult Swim.
