Following its recent Season 2 renewal, Widow’s Bay has continued to dominate the streaming charts.

According to FlixPatrol, the horror series ranked No. 1 on Apple TV’s Top 10 television chart in the United States on June 11, 2026. The series outperformed several high-profile titles on the platform, including Cape Fear, Ted Lasso, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, For All Mankind, Criminal Record, and Shrinking. The strong performance was not limited to Apple TV’s television rankings. Widow’s Bay also secured the top position on FlixPatrol’s overall Apple TV chart for the same day.

Created by Katie Dippold, the series launched on Apple TV on April 29, 2026. The first season spans ten episodes, with the finale scheduled to premiere on June 17. Apple TV renewed the show for a second season before the conclusion of its debut run, reflecting the strong response it has received from both critics and audiences.

The story follows Tom Loftis, portrayed by Matthew Rhys, the mayor of an isolated island community off the New England coast. For years, the town has been associated with stories of curses, monsters, and unexplained phenomena. Determined to improve its reputation and attract visitors, Loftis works to transform the community into a viable tourist destination.

As tourists begin arriving, strange events start occurring across the island, leading residents to believe that the stories they have heard for generations may be true. Alongside Rhys, the cast includes Kate O’Flynn as Patricia Moyer, Kevin Carroll as Bechir Clemmons, Dale Dickey as Rosemary, Kingston Rumi Southwick as Evan Loftis, and Stephen Root as Wyck Crawford.

The series has earned widespread acclaim during its first season. On Rotten Tomatoes, Widow’s Bay holds a 97% critics’ score based on 77 reviews. Meanwhile, audiences have awarded it a 93% rating.
