A beloved Star Wars actor reveals he wanted to make an appearance in The Mandalorian and Grogu. The comments come as the film experiences a stark decline at the box office, owing to a combination of structural franchise issues, creative criticisms, and market competition. Directed by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian and Grogu stars Pedro Pascal, Jeremy Allen White, Jonny Coyne, Martin Scorsese, and Sigourney Weaver in key roles.
What Star Wars actor wanted to appear in The Mandalorian and Grogu?
Temuera Morrison, best known for playing Boba Fett, wanted to appear in The Mandalorian and Grogu. Speaking to a fan at a convention, Morris revealed that he had wanted to appear in the film after the fan mentioned they were waiting for him to show up on screen. He ended the interaction by expressing hope of returning as the armored bounty hunter.
“I was hoping I was, too. I was hoping to pop in there, too. Help them out with something,” Morrison said. “You never know. They might want him back one day.”
Given that Boba Fett’s arc ended with him sitting on the throne that once belonged to Jabba the Hutt, it wouldn’t have been unrealistic for him to make an appearance in The Mandalorian and Grogu, as it takes place on the Hutts’ planet. The rescue mission involving Jabba’s son Rotta would’ve made a perfect setting for Morrison’s Boba to show up and provide an assist, as he said.

The Book of Boba Fett only ran for one season, and Temuera Morrison feels the show’s reception impacted the character’s future in the franchise. He further added that he had yet to receive any updates about a second season. These two reasons led him to feel his time as the bounty hunter had run its course.
