007: Star Wars Actor Favored To Play Next James Bond Villain

Early predictions have named a Star Wars star as the most likely actor to be cast as the next James Bond villain. Other actors who could also turn out to be cast in this role include a recent Oscar winner, a star of Masters of the Universe, and more.

Amazon MGM Studios is currently working on a new James Bond film. No casting has yet been announced; however, it is known that Denis Villeneuve is directing the new 007’s first installment. Plot details remain under wraps at this time, and no release date has yet been set. Before Bond, Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three first arrives in United States theaters this summer.

Who is favored to be the next James Bond villain?

At the time of writing, the prediction market website Kalshi has updated the latest standings for its next James Bond villain prediction. Adam Driver has now taken the top spot with a 97 percent chance. Following Driver are Cillian Murphy in second place with a 28 percent chance, Idris Elba in third place with a 21 percent chance, Barry Keoghan in fourth place with a nine percent chance, Oscar Isaac in fifth place with an eight percent chance, Rosamund Pike in sixth place with a six percent chance, and Peter Dinklage in seventh place with a five percent chance.

This is not in any way an official announcement regarding who will play the next 007 foe; rather, just like the search for the next James Bond actor, casting predictions for the franchise’s next villain lead have also been a popular subject for fans.

Driver played Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. He’s been nominated for Academy Awards for his performances in BlacKkKlansman and Marriage Story, while he’ll soon be seen in James Gray’s Paper Tiger movie, which premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival last month.
