Marvel’s Next Show After Punisher Special Arrives Even Before Spider-Man 4

Marvel‘s next TV show after The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation is coming to Disney+ soon. Notably, it will drop several weeks before Spider-Man 4‘s theatrical release.

X-Men ’97 Season 2 hits Disney+ in less than a month

Marvel’s next show, X-Men ’97 Season 2, premieres on Disney+ on July 1, 2026. Unlike the previous installment, it will be slightly shorter, boasting a nine-episode count. Season 1 launched on March 20, 2024, running for 10 episodes until May 15.

The story will pick up from where the previous season left off. It will see the time-displaced X-Men work to find a way back to the 1990s and stop Apocalypse.

The official trailer for the season debuted on May 27, 2026, offering a glimpse into what fans can expect from the upcoming installment. It highlights Apocalypse’s central role in the narrative and the danger he poses to the titular superhero team.

Notably, the present-day version of Apocalypse made a cameo appearance in the Season 1 finale, coming across one of Gambit’s playing cards in the destroyed Genosha. Meanwhile, his younger self, En Sabah Nur, met the time-displaced Rogue, Nightcrawler, Beast, Professor X, and Magneto in Ancient Egypt in 3000 BC.

The returning voice cast includes Ray Chase as Cyclops, Ross Marquand as Charles Xavier and Apocalypse, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, J.P. Karliak as Morph, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler, and George Buza as Beast. Obsession breakout Michael Johnston has joined the cast as a young Nathan Summers.

Emmett Yonemura and Chase Conley directed episodes of Season 2. Meanwhile, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Julia and Eric Lewald, Larry Houston, and Beau DeMayo served as executive producers.

Marvel Comics recently dropped a prelude comic, X-Men ’97: Season Two #1. Taking place six months after the Season 1 finale, it introduces the X-Force, consisting of Cable, Archangel, Psylocke, Jubilee, and Sunspot.
