The Euphoria Season 4 release date continues to attract attention among fans. Following the recent finale of the show’s third season, many viewers are wondering whether Euphoria will return for another installment.
So, here’s all the information we know so far.
Euphoria Season 4 release date rumors explained
Euphoria Season 4 is not coming.
According to multiple reports, Euphoria is not returning for a fourth season. The creator of the show, Sam Levinson, recently confirmed that the show has ended with Season 3. During an appearance on the June 1 episode of The New York Times podcast Popcast, the writer and television producer stated, “In terms of the story that we set out to tell, which is a story about addiction and its consequences, this feels like the end to me.”
Although he previously expressed the possibility of continuing the series, HBO later confirmed that the show has ended (via Variety).
Why Euphoria Season 4 is not coming out

Euphoria Season 3’s finale featured the deaths of two major characters. Nate, played by Jacob Elordi, died after failing to pay off a massive debt to Naz. He was buried alive in a coffin, where he was bitten by a rattlesnake. Meanwhile, the final episode saw Rue, played by Zendaya, die from a fentanyl overdose. With two of the show’s central characters gone, the series appears to have concluded.
Furthermore, Sam Levinson shared that the series finale served as a tribute to the show’s late star, Angus Cloud, who died in 2023 from a multiple-drug overdose. “It was a way of honoring Angus and saying a prayer for the future,” Levinson said on the NYT podcast.
Euphoria stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Colman Domingo, and more.
The synopsis for Euphoria is as follows:
“A group of high school students navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media.”
