Lobo, Batwoman and more upcoming comics shown in DC Next Level trailer
DC recently released the trailer for Next Level, offering a glimpse into creator-driven stories fans can look forward to in the coming months. These stories will follow popular characters like Lobo, Deathstroke, and Batwoman, among others.
The series launches in March 2026 when the brawling comic book event DC K.O. concludes. Check out the trailer below:
Lobo kicks off the Next Level initiative. The comic, penned by Skottie Young and illustrated by Jorge Corona, also behind the artwork for the main cover, launches on March 4, 2026. As mentioned in the official description, the story will see The Main Man embark on a “guts-soaked” journey to “scratch his name and number in the Source Wall with a cool knife.”
Lobo will be followed a week later by Batwoman on March 11, 2026. Greg Rucka and DaNi are behind the writing and illustration for this series, respectively. The narrative will find Kate Kane going up against a religion dedicated to ending everything.
Deathstroke: The Terminator, created by Tony Fleecs (writer) and Carmine Di Giandomenico (artist), then arrives on March 18, 2026. The revenge-fueled story follows soldier-turned-superhuman hitman Slade Wilson (Deathstroke), coming into conflict with one of his enemies dedicated to ruining his life.
April 2026 will see two comic series released — one based on Zatanna and another focusing on Firestorm. The latter, The Fury of Firestorm, created by Jeff Lemire and Rafael DeLatorre and arriving on April 1, 2026, follows a dark story where Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm causes havoc in Bedford, Colorado.
Meanwhile, Zatanna launches on April 29, 2026 . Jamal Campbell, known for Superman and Zatanna: It’s Showtime, created the comic. The story follows the eponymous protagonist, the first Prime Magus in a thousand years.
Next, Barbara Gordon: Breakout releases on May 13, 2026. The story sees Gordon confronting dangerous criminals and prison guards after being imprisoned for aiding the Bat-family at Supermax, GCPD commissioner Vandal Savage’s prison for dissenters.
Later, on June 3, 2026, Deadman joins the Next Level lineup. W. Maxwell Prince, Martín Morazzo, and Chris O’Halloran created the six-issue miniseries. Set after DC K.O., the story focuses on Boston Brand (Deadman) dealing with the chaos threatening the balance between life and death.
