Robert Irwin pays tribute to Steve Irwin on birthday
Robert Irwin, the son of Steve and Terri Irwin, has been making big waves in the world of entertainment. The 22-year-old conservationist and wildlife photographer has already won the new season of DWTS and remains open to opportunities in the realm of Reality TV.
Robert paid tribute to his father, Steve Irwin, on what would have been his 64th birthday. “Would have been your birthday today. Love you, miss you,” the young conservationist wrote on Instagram with a photograph of himself with his father, “thank you for being a guiding light and inspiration every day.”
Robert Irwin was only two years old when Steve Irwin passed away. The veteran conservationist was injured by a stingray while shooting a documentary in his native Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Before his passing, Steve Irwin owned and operated the Australia Zoo with his wife, Terri Irwin. Best known as the “Crocodile Hunter,” for his hit television series of the same name, Irwin was widely regarded as one of the greatest conservationists of all time.
Many left supportive comments for Robert Irwin on his Instagram post. “Love you so much! I know he’s so proud of you,” Whitney Carson, who competed alongside him on the DWTS, wrote. “Your dad loved you so very much,” mother Terri Irwin added.
Robert also dedicated several of his dances on DWTS to his late father. Robert ended his run on the show as one of the most beloved contestants ever. Since the end of the contest, there have been ample speculations about Robert returning to reality TV in one form or another.
