Apple TV has shared the official trailer for Imperfect Women, its newest crime thriller drama starring Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Golden Globe nominee Kerry Washington (Scandal). The series is scheduled to premiere on March 18, 2026, with the first two episodes. It will then be followed by new episodes every Wednesday through April 29.
“The show examines a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women. The unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably,” reads the official synopsis. “As the investigation unfolds, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.”

What happens in the Imperfect Women trailer?
The video introduces three women who have been best friends for a very long time. After one of them gets killed, the remaining two try to investigate the mystery surrounding the murder, while uncovering the secrets that their late friend had kept from them. The trailer also teases some of the show’s flashback sequences, highlighting the trio’s close but complicated bond.
Imperfect Women is created and executive-produced by showrunner Annie Weisman, based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name. The star-studded cast includes Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, Wilson Bethel, and Sherri Saum. It is executive-produced by Moss and Lindsey McManus for Love & Squalor Pictures, Washington, and Pilar Savone for Simpson Street, Hall, writer Kay Oyegun, and director Lesli Linka Glatter.
