Now, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, introduced another Baratheon, Lyonel, also known as the Laughing Storm. His interaction with Ser Duncan the Tall made it evident that he is more focused on feasts, drinking, and taking part in tournaments rather than fighting a war. So, how does he connect to Robert, who became the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms?
Through the books, it is known that Lyonel ends up ruling Storm’s End till 239 AC. He was then succeeded by Ormund Baratheon, who is clearly established as Robert’s grandfather. Based on these events, this should make Lyonel Robert’s great-grandfather. However, it’s not that simple.
The books never mention that Ormund is Lyonel’s child. Instead, it mentions that Lyonel had an unnamed daughter. Since then, it is speculated that Ormund is actually an offspring of Lyonel’s unknown daughter, which makes Lyonel Roberts’s great-great-grandfather.
