DC’s New Animated Show Gets Major Casting Update

Tom King says casting for Mister Miracle series is underway

The renowned comic book writer recently appeared on a podcast, where he discussed the casting for DCU’s Mister Miracle series.

Tom King stated on ComicPop Returns that the casting is currently going on and conveyed, “The big announcement, like who the cast is and where everything that hasn’t come yet and it’s going to come, and I can’t wait to do it. We’re casting, we’re doing, you know, I’m the executive producer, so you know, there’s just a thousand roles to cast, and you’re dealing with all that, and then you’re dealing with the voice actors, and directing them, and you’re dealing with all that.”

The series is going to feature one of the major antagonists of the DCU, Darkseid. This is also the first time the character will appear under his regime. Darkseid has previously appeared in the live-action movie Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

The series description shared on DC’s official website reads that the story revolves around Scott Free, AKA Mister Miracle. He is labeled “the greatest escape artist who ever lived.” However, things take a drastic turn when Free’s life with his wife, Big Barda, faces a crisis.

The description further states, “With war raging between their home worlds of Apocalypse and New Genesis, Scott’s cruel adoptive father, Darkseid, seems to have finally captured the Anti-Life Equation – the ultimate weapon that will give Darkseid total dominance over the universe.”
