General Hospital’s long-running mystery surrounding Anna Devane’s disappearance has taken a darker turn, finally offering new clues about where she is being held and by whom. Since vanishing in early November, the super-spy has resurfaced in fragments, each reveal deepening the suspense.
Now, with the ABC soap dropping significant new information about her captors and their motives, fans are inching closer to understanding the forces working against her.
Anna’s kidnapping on General Hospital explained
Anna’s nightmare kicked off on the November 5 episode, right after Britt and Nathan arrived in Port Charles. With both of them being Cesar Faison’s kids, Anna couldn’t shake the feeling that her archenemy might still be running the show, even though she confirmed his death herself back in 2018. Jason suggested that Sidwell is probably just using Faison’s name to confuse her, but the paranoia had done its work.
The moment Anna got into her car, someone lurking in the shadows ambushed her with chloroform. After waking up, she found herself tied to a chair. A distorted male voice with a European accent told her she was heading “to a new life,” but never showed his face.
Afterwards, Port Charles received bad intel meant to derail the search. Jack picked up a call saying Anna has left for a top-secret WSB mission. Fans sat clueless for weeks until the show finally showed us that she was alive, yelling from the end of a mirror. Anna starts piecing things together herself, but is not able to pin down where she is.
At last, fans learn that her mystery kidnapper is Pascal. Fans recognized him instantly from an earlier scene with Sidwell. We also learnt that Anna wasn’t kept in some far-off hideout but inside Wyndemere. As for Anna, she is yet to connect the dots about where she is, Sidwell’s role in it, or how her kidnapping connects to Faison’s “final project.”
