HBO Max has finally revealed the first teaser trailer for The Pitt Season 2, the long-awaited next installment of the acclaimed medical drama. The show is expected to make its return sometime in January 2026.
“The series is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,” reads the official synopsis. “Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby’s (Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room.”

Who is in The Pitt Season 2 teaser trailer?
The video teases the return of the show’s beloved characters, including Noah Wyle‘s Robby, Fiona Dourif’s McKay, Patrick Ball’s Langdon, Katherine LaNasa’s Dana Evans, Taylor Dearden’s Mel King, Gerran Howell’s Whitaker, and Isa Briones’ Santos. It highlights the next challenges they’ll go through as they face another intense day at the ER. It also provides fans with a first look at some of the new cast members, including Sepideh Moafi as new attending physician Dr. Al-Hashimi.
The Pitt was created and executive-produced by R. Scott Gemmill. Additional cast members include Shawn Hatosy as Abbot, Amielynn Abellera as Perlah, Kristin Villanueva as Princess, Jalen Thomas Brooks as Mateo Diaz, Ayesha Harris as Ellis, Ken Kirby as Shen, and more. In addition to leading the cast, Wyle is also serving as an executive producer. At the moment, the show currently has 13 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Wyle, Outstanding Supporting Actress for LaNasa, and Outstanding Guest Actor for Hatosy.
