Kelly Thiebaud recently addressed her return to General Hospital as Britt, a character previously believed to be dead.

During an appearance on Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson’s Stone Cold and The Jackal YouTube show, Thiebaud said, “I was really blown away what they came up with, what they gave me as far as how she survived.” She added that she initially pitched a simpler Romeo and Juliet-style explanation but noted, “It’s not at all that. It’s so much bigger and more creative and there are so many other people involved in it.”

Thiebaud revealed her first conversation with executive producer Frank Valentini included her suggestion that Britt’s apparent death could have been temporary due to a 24-hour poisoning and her mother taking her away due to her Huntington’s diagnosis. However, she confirmed, “It’s not at all that,” emphasizing the complexity of the storyline. “I can’t believe what they’ve done,” she said, calling the upcoming arc “exciting.”

In the same interview, Thiebaud reflected on Britt’s return to Port Charles and teased unresolved conflicts, including a storyline involving Lulu, Dante, and Rocco. “That’s a whole story I thought was buried years ago,” she said. Thiebaud also noted how the timing allows the show to revisit past storylines, remarking, “We get to go through these past experiences again.”

Thiebaud said she had an in-depth discussion with the writers about Britt’s past three years. They explored where the character’s headspace would be after her absence. She stated, “Where’s her head at and all this stuff.” Although details of Britt’s resurrection remain unrevealed on-screen, Thiebaud confirmed that the explanation will unfold gradually across several episodes.
