Despite getting shot in the chest, he gathered the courage to grab the gun and pull the trigger on Luna. He saved Steffy’s life by putting his own at risk. Now, his life hangs in the balance following the bullet wound, leaving his fate uncertain. Recently, Scott Clifton, who plays Liam, shared his views on his character’s epic confrontation with Luna and what this means for his future on the show.

Scott Clifton says Liam could be ‘dead in a matter of minutes’ in The Bold and the Beautiful
Liam’s life was already in jeopardy due to an inoperable brain tumor that limited his time to live. Now, on top of that, he has been shot by Luna, which has worsened his condition even further.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Clifton shared that he was surprised to learn that his character would be shot. He stated, “That was surprising, even to me. But it was really cool and fun to do, and the show executed it really well.”
Clifton shared his viewpoint on tragedy striking Liam. He revealed that his character had no option but to step in and rescue everyone from Luna. “I mean, he comes in, he sees that Luna is still very much a threat to Steffy. She’s still standing. She’s already shot Sheila, she’s got a gun trained on Steffy, and Luna has just shot Liam! So, not only is Liam dying of a brain tumor, but he’s also been shot in the stomach and he’s probably in a state of shock. His first principle is, ‘Save Steffy.’ That’s been his thing, to make sure that Steffy and all the kids are safe from Luna.”
He revealed that Liam was aware the brain tumor was already a serious concern. He knew he could die at any moment. But he knew that after he was gone, Steffy would be at risk. “And the clock started ticking even faster. I mean, the brain tumor was one thing, but Liam knows that he could be dead in a matter of minutes — and the moment he’s dead, Steffy could be dead right after, because there’s nothing he can do to save her at that point, if he’s gone!”
After the shooting, Steffy quickly called an ambulance to get Liam immediate medical attention. However, before losing consciousness, he spoke his final words, expressing his wish for Steffy’s safety. The upcoming episodes will likely provide clarity on Liam’s fate.
