Harry Potter’s Jason Isaacs Says ‘Global Icon’ Actor Was ‘Worst Bully Ever’

Harry Potter’s Jason Isaacs has spoken out about a disturbing experience he had with a legendary actor during a past project. In a new candid interview, he revealed troubling behind-the-scenes behavior without naming anyone. Now, many are curious to know what he said.

Jason Isaacs talks about ‘worst bully ever’

Jason Isaacs, known for his roles in Harry Potter, The White Lotus, and Star Trek: Discovery, has opened up about a negative experience he had with a high-profile actor on set. Without naming the actor, Isaacs recalled working with a very famous actor whom he described as “the worst bully ever” in a new interview with Vulture

When asked about a story he has referenced before, regarding a co-star who once physically pushed him out of a camera shot, Isaacs didn’t hesitate to elaborate further. He said, “Oh Jesus… did worse than that. Was the worst bully ever and a global icon. Did all the old tricks of doing a completely different performance off-camera than on. Yeah, it sucked. I’d never seen anything like it.” Isaacs added that earlier, he used to idolize the actor. He said, “Before, I would’ve licked the ground that this person walked on.”

This isn’t the first time Isaacs has referenced the incident. He had first hinted at the interaction in 2011 in The Telegraph and then again in 2020 to Backstage. Although the White Lotus star didn’t identify the individual, Isaacs admitted he has numerous similar stories involving high-profile figures. However, he will never publicly identify them. He said, “But there is no value, other than masochism and sabotage, in telling people the truth about people I’ve worked with or experiences I’ve had. Acting is all about secrets.”

Isaacs also reflected on the kind of behavior he considers unacceptable among actors, including cruelty, arrogance, or simply a lack of respect for crew members. He further added, “That, or not turning up, or going home early, or thinking they know better than the director, or being on crack and calling prostitutes to their trailer. I come across all that stuff.”
