The Gentlemen Season 2 Gets Major Update for Guy Ritchie’s Netflix Show

Netflix’s The Gentlemen Season 2 just got a major update.

The hit Netflix action comedy, created by Guy Ritchie, received a second season renewal only a few months after it debuted on the streamer in March of 2024. However, nothing much has been revealed yet at the time regarding the show’s future apart from the renewal news.

The White Lotus, The Monkey, and The Divergent franchise’s Theo James stars in the series as main lead Edward “Eddie” Horniman, alongside Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass, Daniel Ings as Lord Freddy Horniman, Giancarlo Esposito as Stanley Johnston, and more.

What is The Gentlemen Season 2 update?

The streaming giant has announced that the second season of The Gentlemen is now in production, showing a clip of James’ Eddie as he aims a gun upward, confirming that Season 2 is “now shooting.”

The rest of the Season 1 cast includes Joely Richardson as Sabrina Horniman, Joshua McGuire as Sticky Pete, Vinnie Jones as Geoffrey Seacombe, Edward Fox as Archibald Horniman, Ray Winstone as Robert “Bobby” Glass, Freddie Fox as Max Bassington, Kristofer Hivju as Florian de Groot, and Laurence O’Fuarain as JP Ward.

“When aristocratic Eddie inherits the family estate, he discovers that it’s home to an enormous weed empire, and its proprietors aren’t going anywhere,” the logline reads. You can watch the announcement video down below:

Although some details about Season 2 remain under wraps, James previously teased in a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the second season will be “bigger and darker” than the first season, adding, “I really wanted to — and so did [creator] Guy [Ritchie] — make sure that we evolve the show, and that is the intention. As fun as the first season was, if you do the exact same thing again, it may not be as fun, essentially.”

The Gentlemen Season 1 is available to stream on Netflix.
