Has Night Court Season 4 Been Canceled or Renewed?

Curious about whether Night Court Season 4 has been canceled or renewed at NBC? We have all the details right here. Created by Reinhold Weege, the revival sitcom follows the life of Judge Abby Stone, daughter of the late Harry. She is determined to bring order and harmony among an eccentric crew of misfits. Many are eager to know if another outing could be expected with the series having concluded.

Here are all the details.

Has NBC canceled or renewed Night Court Season 4?

NBC hasn’t officially confirmed Night Court Season 4. However, actress Melissa Rauch, who plays Abby Stone, has teased plans for another outing.

In an interview with TV Insider, Rauch revealed their plans for next season and how they look forward to exploring more character stories. She said, “There will be some questions that we desperately want to answer in a Season 4 [after this finale], and we have a really spectacular game plan in place if that should happen. We really want it to because I feel like there’s so many more stories to tell, and especially the story that you’re going to be seeing in this season finale. There’s a major story there that we want to continue to tell.”

Season 3 concluded on Episode 18 titled “A Decent Proposal,” which was released on May 6. The finale focused on Abby, who has been given the responsibility of two runaway teens. Meanwhile, Dan and Julianne struggle to maintain their unexpected friendship. A surprise visitor arrives in Abby’s life, posing a challenge for her.

Season 4 hasn’t been publicly announced at the time of writing, but it’s likely to happen, given Rauch’s latest comments. Generally, a series renewal depends on multiple factors, with the most important ones being viewership and audience reception. If the series meets these expectations, a renewal could be expected.

All episodes of Night Court are also available to watch on Peacock.
