The hints, clues, and answers for the NYT Connections for March 28, 2025, are now available for interested players. The word game debuted in the New York Times in June 2023 and has since become one of its most prolific components. The player needs to correctly sort a 16-word grid into four correct groups of four to successfully solve the game. Now, each of these groups or categories represents a theme shared between any four words. These themes can be a wide variety of things — from synonyms to palindromes to homophones. In turn, the categories are represented by one of four colors — yellow, green, blue, and purple.
Here is everything you need to know about how to solve the March 28th edition of Connections.

Interestingly, we resolved today’s NYT Connections based on how hard each category was. The Yellow one was the easiest to figure out, as each of those words is closely related to another. We solved the Green Category next, having figured out the commonality between BRACKET, FLANK, and BOOKEND and correctly deducing that SURROUND falls into the same category.
Admittedly, we did struggle with the remaining words, but luckily, we managed to group SKIRT with BADGE, BERET, and SASH in one of our attempts. The rest of the words made up the Purple Category effectively by default.
