Sedgwick Closes New Closer Deal

Fresh off her Golden Globe win Monday, “The Closer” star Kyra Sedgwick has signed a new deal with TNT to continue on the hit police drama, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Under the rich pact, which makes Sedgwick one of the highest-paid actresses on television, she will become a producer on the show.

It also adds another year to her original contract, keeping her on “The Closer” for a total of seven seasons. The series, from the Shephard/Robin Co. and Warner Bros. TV, is returning for a third season in the summer.

The trade said the actress is getting a significant salary bump to $250,000-$300,000 an episode, including one-time bonuses.
