An adaptation of Damien Lewis’ 2014 book Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII, the film is a highly fictionalized and dramatized rendition of Operation Postmaster, which took place in Santa Isabel, Fernando Po, Spanish Guinea, in January 1942. The plot revolves around British commando Gus March-Phillips and his accomplices. During World War II, they arrive at the island of Fernando Po to execute Operation Postmaster to unravel the process through which Nazi U-Boats receive their supplies.

The cast includes Henry Cavill as Gus March-Phillipps, Eiza González as Marjorie Stewart, and Alan Ritchson as Anders Lassen. It also features Henry Golding as Freddy Alvarez, Alex Pettyfer as Geoffrey Appleyard, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Henry Hayes.

Starz and Lionsgate Films are both divisions of Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation (Lionsgate). Later, it could shift to Roku and Peacock because of Lionsgate’s post-Pay-One deals with these services.
