Liv Morgan Discusses AEW Star MJF Possibly Joining WWE

WWE’s Liv Morgan, engaged in a heated rivalry with Rhea Ripley, recently shared her thoughts on the possibility of her friend, AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman aka MJF, joining WWE. Notably, MJF was seen alongside Liv Morgan at the premiere of the film The Iron Claw last December.

During an interview with Gorilla Position, Liv Morgan was asked whether former AEW World Champion MJF would join WWE. She responded, “I don’t know [laughs]. Why would I know that? I have no idea.”

When asked if she had discussed this with him, she said, “No. I don’t know. It’s not something we talk about. I mean, I guess we’re just gonna have to see. I don’t know the status of his dealings. So I mean, I’m sure he’d be interested. Who wouldn’t?”

AEW’s MJF has stated his interest in joining WWE on multiple occasions. Fans also know his infamous “bidding war of 2024” storyline. Although he is currently signed with AEW, it will be interesting to see if MJF decides to enter the world of WWE in the near future.

Liv Morgan is currently in a feud with Rhea Ripley. On the latest edition of WWE RAW, Ripley relinquished her title following Morgan’s attack last week. Both Morgan and Ripley came face to face but were prevented from their brawl. Ripley’s decision led to fans booing Morgan on RAW. In a backstage interview, she questioned the fans’ reaction.

Latest update on MJF’s status in AEW

AEW star MJF was last seen in December when he lost his World title to Samoa Joe. Following the match, MJF was attacked by his best friend Adam Cole, who revealed himself as The Devil, leading a new faction comprising Roderick Strong, Wardlow, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett. This faction attacked MJF, writing him off TV due to multiple injuries.

PWInsider reports that MJF, still with the promotion, is recuperating from his injuries. Although he is not officially listed on the AEW roster, his association with the company exists as of now.

Despite his recent absence from AEW Big Business in Boston, it was confirmed that MJF met with AEW officials the day after the event. Since the departing storylines, MJF has not appeared backstage at any AEW events. However, it is unknown when MJF will return to the promotion.
