Martin Scorsese Hoping to Make Frank Sinatra Biopic With Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence

Martin Scorsese is looking to make a Frank Sinatra biopic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.

According to Variety, Scorsese is planning to film a Frank Sinatra biopic sometime in the near future with DiCaprio and Lawrence. A studio is not yet attached to the project, though Variety reports Sony is said to be the current frontrunner.

Variety also reports that the film could “hit some snags” as Sinatra’s daughter, Tina Sinatra, controls her late father’s estate and has not yet signed off on the project.

DiCaprio has reportedly been tapped to play the legendary singer in Scorsese’s new movie, while Lawrence will portray Sinatra’s second wife, Ava Gardner. Further plot details are not available at this time.
