Tillu Square is the official sequel to the 2022 hit Telugu movie DJ Tillu. Jonnalagadda has reprised his role as the titular character in the movie as he goes on a new adventure. Although his love life finds new meaning after meeting Lily, it takes a serious turn when he witnesses a murder.

Tillu Square has received mixed reviews from the audience. Many are elated to see Jonnalagadda back in his element with an entertaining story. Meanwhile, some believe that the film’s humor could not compensate for the mediocrity of the plot. However, the movie continues to perform well at the box office.

According to Sacnilk.com, the movie is minting millions every day. On its opening day, the Telugu movie earned a whopping $1.3 million in India. On its first Sunday, the film again earned $1.3 million net in India, stunning both fans and critics. As a result, after its first weekend, the movie earned a total of $3.9 million in India. In terms of global box office earnings, Tillu Square has raked in an impressive $6.6 million within three days of its release.

Ahead of its release, the makers of Tillu Square had faced several roadblocks. Although the movie was delayed multiple times, Anupama Parameswaran also received backlash. Soon after the film posters and trailer were released, the Eagle actress was trolled on social media. In fact, her bold scenes with Jonnalagadda became the talking point. However, the actress later clarified that she is moving forward in her career and is taking up challenging roles.
