Wolf Man Cast: The Handmaid’s Tale Star Sam Jaeger Joins Blumhouse Remake

According to Deadline, The Handmaid’s Tale and Why Women Kill star Sam Jaeger has been tapped to join the Wolf Man cast for Blumhouse and Universal Pictures’ upcoming remake of the 1941 horror classic.

Further details about Jaeger’s character remained under wraps. He will be joining previously announced cast members Emmy winner Julia Garner (Ozark) and Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Girls, Catch-22), with the latter set to portray the titular Wolf Man, Larry Talbot. Production on the supernatural horror movie is currently underway.

Who’s involved in Wolf Man?

Wolf Man is being directed by The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell from a screenplay he co-wrote with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum, and Rebecca Angelo. The modern remake will reportedly center around a family who’s being terrorized by a lethal predator. Prior to Abbott’s casting, Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling was originally attached for the titular role. Despite his exit, Gosling will still served as a executive producing alongside Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Whannell. It is produced by Jason Blum.

Wolf Man is currently slated to arrive in theaters on October 25, 2024.
