Exclusive State of Consciousness Clip Sees Emile Hirsch Forcefully Sedated in Shady Facility

ComingSoon is exclusively debuting a clip from State of Consciousness, a new thriller movie starring Emile Hirsch.

The State of Consciousness clip sees Emile Hirsch’s character being treated at a shady mental facility after he was accused of murder. While the doctors tell him to “relax,” things quickly take a turn when two men enter the room and he’s forcefully sedated against his will.

What is State of Consciousness about?

“Where do you turn when your nightmares become reality? Stephen and Alicia are a happy young couple living a simple life until Stephen is accused of a mysterious murder,” the official synopsis reads. “Small-town justice lands Stephen in a shady mental facility where an experimental treatment causes a year-long gap in his memory and an inability to separate his horrific hallucinations from real life. As he fights to regain the fragments of his old life, Stephen begins to realize­ the truth is more frightening than anything he could imagine. Emile Hirsch stars in this spine-chilling psychological thriller.”

State of Consciousness is directed by Marcus Stokes, who previously directed episodes of Magnum P.I., Quantum Leap, American Horror Stories, The Flash, 9-1-1, The Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, Supergirl, and more.

The script was written by Guillaume Tunzini, Dikran Ornekian, and Rylend Grant, while Harry Finkel, Andrea Iervolino, and Silvio Muraglia served as producers.

Along with Hirsch (Into the Wild, Speed Racer), State of Consciousness stars Tatjana Nardone (The Winter King, Medici), Kesia Elwin (Shrapnel, Ruthless), Robin Mugnaini (Inferno), David Wurawa (Shadow and Bone), and Michael E. Rodgers (The Triangle).

State of Consciousness is now playing in select United States theaters. It is also available to watch On Demand and on digital streaming services.
