Black Rabbit: Jason Bateman & Jude Law Miniseries Ordered at Netflix

According to Variety, Netflix has finally granted a series order to the upcoming limited drama Black Rabbit, which will feature Golden Globe winner Jason Bateman and Oscar nominee Jude Law starring as brothers.

Cleopatra Coleman (Rebel Moon), Amaka Okafor (Bodies), Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Gangs of London), and Dagmara Dominczyk (Succession) have also been tapped to join the cast. The project has been in-development since October 2022.

“When the owner of a New York City hotspot (Law) allows his turbulent brother (Bateman) back in his life, he opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he’s built,” reads the logline.

Who’s involved in Black Rabbit?

Black Rabbit is created and written by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, with Bateman also set to direct the first two episodes and executive produce the series. It is produced by Michael Costigan, Ben Jackson, Kate Susman, and Zach Baylin. It is a production by Aggregate Films, Riff Raff Entertainment, Youngblood Pictures, and Automatik Entertainment.

This project marks Bateman’s first TV role since the series finale of the Emmy-winning crime drama Ozark. He will also next be seen in Netflix’s Taron Egerton-led action thriller Carry-On. As for Law, he will soon be making his Star Wars debut in Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ series Skeleton Crew, which is expected to be released sometime this year.
