Trade Analysts weigh in their opinion on Article 370 vs. Crakk box office collection

According to trade experts interviewed by Outlook India, there’s a buzz surrounding both films, but opinions on their potential box office earnings vary.

Girish Johar, a producer and film business expert, expressed that Article 370 holds a superior buzz compared to Crakk. He noted that if the former receives additional promotion, especially from the government, it could further boost its performance. Johar also highlighted positive feedback for both films’ trailers, indicating promising prospects for their box office success.

Johar predicted that both movies could open in the $ 200 – 300 thousand range. He emphasized the potential for box office numbers to escalate if audiences respond positively, especially during the weekend.

Lokendra Jain, a film exhibitor, offered a more conservative estimate. He suggested that Article 370 might collect around $ 100 thousand on its opening day. While Crakk, starring Vidyut Jammwal, could earn $ 300 thousand.

Jain pointed out that the timing of the releases might affect their box office performance. His statement was considering the ongoing exam period and upcoming election season.
